A specialist SEN school in Lambeth is seeking a passionate Primary PMLD Teacher to join their team with an immediate start available.
This role involves working with pupils aged 3‑11 with profound and multiple learning difficulties within a highly specialised setting. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, sensory‑based learning tailored to individual pupil needs while creating a structured and positive classroom environment.
Job Role & Key Duties
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons
- Teach pupils aged 3‑11 with profound and multiple learning difficulties
- Deliver sensory‑based learning activities suited to complex learning needs
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet communication, physical, and developmental needs
- Work alongside teaching assistants, therapists, and SEN professionals
- Use communication tools, including PECS, sensory resources, and interactive learning approaches
- Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets
- Create a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Support pupils with communication, engagement, and life skills activities
Qualifications & Eligibility
- Proactive, patient, resilient, with experience working within SEN or PMLD settings
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Previous experience teaching pupils aged 3‑11 within SEN education (highly desirable)
