Are you a hands‑on, enthusiastic individual with a passion for vehicles and a willingness to learn? We are seeking an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our Fleet Department at Nottinghamshire Police.
Responsibilities
- Support qualified technicians with vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks
- Assist with inspections, fault‑finding and testing of vehicle systems
- Learn to use tools and equipment safely and correctly under supervision
- Support the handling and management of vehicle parts and materials
- Help maintain a clean, safe and environmentally compliant workshop
- Record learning activities and contribute fully to your apprenticeship programme
- Work towards developing skills and knowledge to industry and manufacturer standards
Qualifications
- A genuine interest in vehicle maintenance and engineering
- Strong enthusiasm to learn and develop through an apprenticeship programme
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to working safely
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Basic IT, literacy and numeracy skills
- GCSEs (or predicted) including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- A positive attitude and commitment to personal development
