Cover Supervisor

About the Role

Veritas Education is currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in the Wakefield area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, support schools, and make a positive impact on students’ learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise whole classes during teacher absences
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students complete work set
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Support a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
• Uphold safeguarding procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Experience working with young people (school, coaching, youth work, or similar)
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Confidence leading a classroom independently
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach
• A genuine interest in education and supporting student development
