Job Role
- Teaching a small class of primary‑aged pupils with special educational needs
- Creating individualised education plans (IEPs) tailored to each pupil’s specific needs and abilities
- Implementing creative and engaging teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Using a range of specialised resources and equipment to support pupil learning and development
- Collaborating with support staff, therapists, and parents to provide a holistic approach to education
- Assessing pupil progress and providing regular feedback to pupils, parents, and the school’s leadership team
- Contributing to the school’s inclusive and nurturing ethos, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well‑being
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in special education

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working with pupils with special educational needs
- Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of each pupil
- Strong understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support pupils with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Resilience, patience, and adaptability in responding to the unique challenges of special education
- Knowledge of current educational practices and legislation related to special educational needs
