Seasonal HGV Driver

Location: Wymondham, Norfolk

Hours: 40 hours per week – Fixed term contract: Starting April 2026 for a minimum of 18 weeks

Rate: £16.00 to £17.00 per hour plus bonuses & overtime. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Surface Dressing team by clearing storage areas with a grab (HGV).
  • Execute standard daily vehicle checks.
  • Communicate effectively with the Supervisor or Foreman to coordinate work and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and traffic management procedures.
  • Drive an HGV, assist drivers with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain written and electronic records of operations.
  • Assist with the safe and efficient operation of excavators and other heavy equipment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to time‑keeping and attendance policies.
  • Record and report any incidents or accidents on site.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of equipment and vehicles.
  • Assist with the set‑up and breakdown of work sites.
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Full Class C or Class CE driving licence (depending on the role).
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card.
  • Experience in a similar role, such as construction or labouring.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Current CSCS card.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, work in shifts, and be available for overtime when required.
