English Lecturer – GCSE & Foundation Level

We are looking for passionate and committed English Lecturers to join our team across colleges in West London. This is a fantastic opportunity to support learners in achieving success in GCSE and Foundation Level English.

The Role

As an English Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality lessons that motivate and engage students, helping them build essential literacy skills and confidence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Teaching GCSE and foundation-level English (Language and/or Literature)
• Planning and delivering creative, inclusive, and effective lessons
• Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback
• Supporting learners to develop reading, writing, and communication skills
• Creating a positive and supportive learning environment

About You

We are seeking candidates who:

• Hold a degree in English or a related subject
• Have teaching experience (FE, secondary, or adult education preferred)
• Possess a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
• Are passionate about improving literacy and student outcomes
• Have strong communication and classroom management skills
