Cover Supervisor

Part‑Time Cover Supervisor – Derby (DE1) – ASAP Start

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to work on a part‑time basis in secondary schools across the Derby DE1 area, with an immediate start available.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or individuals with experience working with young people.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre‑set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support students in completing classwork
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Confident leading groups of students
• Flexible, professional, and reliable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
