Overview

A structured secondary school in Ealing is seeking a SEMH Teaching Assistant who can support pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs and additional learning needs. The role requires staying calm when pupils test boundaries, building trust, managing behaviour professionally and working alongside experienced staff to provide clear boundaries, calm adults and consistent routines.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs and additional learning needs
• Help pupils stay regulated and engaged in learning
• Work with teachers, pastoral staff and behaviour leads
• Provide long-term, consistent support rather than irregular day-to-day cover

Requirements / Qualifications

• A calm, firm and reliable personality
• Experience in schools, youth work, mentoring, PRU/AP or behaviour support
• Ability to de-escalate and avoid inflaming situations
• Thick skin, patience and a professional mindset

Pay and Location

Pay: £95 – £115 per day

Location: Ealing (W13 9LA)
