About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver on behalf of a new client based in Birmingham. This role involves the safe and timely delivery of refrigerated food products, ensuring excellent service standards are maintained at all times.
This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Due to the nature of the business, working hours will vary depending on operational needs, so flexibility is essential. Some days may involve full shifts, while others may be shorter.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle to transport refrigerated food products
- Carry out deliveries efficiently and professionally
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in line with company and food safety standards
- Complete all required vehicle and delivery paperwork accurately
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
- Maintain professional communication with depot staff and customers
Requirements
- Valid 7.5 Tonne (C1) driving licence
- Valid CPC qualification and Digi Tacho card
- Previous experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles
- Confidence transporting refrigerated food products (preferred)
- Good spoken English communication skills
- Flexibility with working hours and shift lengths
- A reliable commute to Birmingham depot
- A professional, reliable, and punctual approach to work
