We are recruiting for an English Tutor to join a leading training and education provider within a secure custodial setting. In this role, you will work with small, focused groups of adult learners, helping them develop essential English skills, build confidence, and work toward their long‑term personal and career goals.

What You Will Be Doing

• Targeted Teaching: Deliver engaging English courses to small groups of prison‑based learners with diverse educational backgrounds.
• Individual Support: Create tailored training plans and provide guidance to ensure every learner can reach their full potential.
• Confidence Building: Use a variety of interactive training methods to keep learners engaged, focused, and motivated.
• Aspiration Raising: Help learners connect their education to real‑world opportunities, supporting their long‑term rehabilitation goals.

What We Are Looking For

• Subject Expertise: A Level 3 qualification in English (or equivalent) alongside substantial knowledge and experience in the field.
• Delivery Skills: Experience delivering training, teaching, or mentoring individuals.
• Adaptability: The ability to use diverse training methods to effectively engage and support learners who may have experienced educational disadvantages.
• No Teaching Qualification? No Problem! While a teaching or assessing qualification is desirable, full training, funding, and support will be provided to help you achieve these qualifications during your probationary period.
