Repair Technician (Electrical) – Middleton, England

Permanent role with a salary of £28,000 – £32,000 DOE.

Weekly hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and refurbish industrial electronic equipment.
• Fault find to component and board level.
• Set up and test electronic systems and devices.
• Use a range of test equipment confidently and accurately.
• Repair or replace components such as diodes, resistors, capacitors and ICs.
• Solder and desolder to a high standard.
• Record and interpret test data to assess condition and next steps.
• Read and understand technical manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Maintain stock and inventory.
• Attend training workshops to support ongoing development.
• Identify improvements to internal processes.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electronic Technician or Electrical Repair Technician.
• Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings.
• Electronics qualifications beneficial; practical experience sufficient.
• Strong English skills (spoken, written and reading) due to H&S.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Confident using MS Office.
