Mathematics Teacher

Dedicated and passionate Maths Teachers are required to work across secondary schools in Greenwich from April 2026/September 2026. Prospero are looking for Maths teachers who are willing to do day-to-day, short-term and long-term cover mainly to teach KS3 and KS4.
This position is one to five days a week, part time and full time, and is open to ECTs as well as experienced Maths teachers.
You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parent evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high-standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.
Contract / Position Details

- Position: Maths Teacher (KS3/4); KS5 (ideally, but not essential for most schools)

- Minimum rate of pay: From GBP150 per day or pay to scale
- Hours: 8:15am – 4pm
Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (not essential to be Maths related)
- Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc.) in Maths
- Previous experience working with young people (references available)
- Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (references available)
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential; training supplied)
- Up-to-date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential; training supplied)
