Counter Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational Counter Manager to lead, coach and develop our team of Sales Associates to achieve all sales, customer service and operational targets. Candidates should have proven leadership, coaching and business management skills gained in a fast paced retail environment. This role offers the opportunity to be the executive owner of the store, with full accountability for creating and executing an agile business plan, recruiting and retaining customers, orchestrating impactful in‑store events, managing customer relationships and leading a high‑performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Associates.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maximise sales performance and productivity.
  • Drive impactful in‑store events and the overall customer experience.
  • Maintain high visual merchandising standards and a clean, safe working environment.
  • Plan and manage staffing, inventory and cash reconciliation.
  • Set and track sales and customer service targets, analyse results and adjust strategy.
  • Report on performance through online learning tools and reporting systems.
  • Engage with internal platforms and competitor activity to support an omni‑channel approach.

Qualifications

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven retail sales and team‑leadership experience.
  • Results oriented with high drive to meet objectives and standards.
  • Experience in strategic planning, execution and financial planning.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proactive and positive approach to work and tasks, with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a computerised retail system.
  • Ability to develop and manage staff schedules, inventory and cash reconciliation.
  • Experience in retail operations, inventory and facilities management.
  • Capability to develop and execute store events.
