We are looking for an experienced and motivated LGV Technician to join our dynamic workshop team to replace our colleague who is retiring after many years of service. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of our fleet of LGVs to ensure they remain roadworthy, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Day to Day
- Carry out routine safety inspections, servicing, all repairs and defect rectification to any vehicle or trailer to DVSA standards.
- Accurately record all work completed with time taken to enable such work to be recharged to the appropriate cost centre.
- Accurately complete all maintenance and repair record sheets.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals efficiently.
- Work in a professional, logical and safe manner at all times, keeping the work area safe, clean and tidy.
- Adopt a flexible working approach and be a team player at all times.
- There may be a requirement to support the warehouse team with the repair to company engineering plant including warehouse equipment such as racking (fixed and mobile), dock levellers, safety gates, barriers and fixtures.
What will you bring?
- Fully qualified LGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 or IRTEC).
- Proven experience working with LGVs in a workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of modern vehicle electronics and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving licence (C&E Licence advantageous but not essential).
- Ability to adhere to strict maintenance schedules and deadlines.
- Possess strong attention to detail and able to complete relevant paperwork and documentation.
