Responsibilities
- Work full time in a garage workshop
- Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance, including servicing and MOT preparation
- Assist with removal, replacement and overhaul of major components
- Support diagnostics and fault finding, with emphasis on electric and hybrid vehicles
- Follow safe working practices and contribute to good housekeeping
- Learn and apply technical skills under supervision and with experienced technicians
- Contribute to the team in a modern workshop environment
Typical Day
You will be based within the garage workshop and learn all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance as part of your apprenticeship.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours)
Qualifications
GCSEs at level 4 or above in Maths and English
Personal Qualities
- A genuine interest in cars and electric vehicles
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to prioritise and work to timelines
- Willingness to work in a practical environment using your own initiative
- A full UK Driving licence is not essential but preferred

About the program
The Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn, applying theory in a training environment. Apprentices attend block release training weeks and receive regular assessment and ongoing review in the workplace.
