HGV Class 2 Driver

Role Overview

Our nationwide Plant and Tool division delivers diggers, dumpers and small power tools to customers across the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors.

The HGV Driver is responsible for loading, delivering and collecting heavy plant equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner while driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times. At customer sites the driver may be required to demonstrate hire equipment and complete all relevant checks and administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, transport and collect heavy plant equipment to and from customer sites.
• Provide safe driving and comply with all legal regulations and company policies.
• Conduct equipment demonstrations and complete all required checks and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Significant experience in an HGV driving role handling heavy plant equipment.
• Valid Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with minimum 35 hours completed and a valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Recent experience of towing trailers.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety protocols and ability to follow workplace guidelines.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
