CAD Technician

Our client is currently seeking a CAD Technician who has at least 2 years’ experience, preferably in highway design or within a transport planning practice.

As a member of the team, your responsibilities will include producing and highways and junction design using software’s such as AutoCAD. You will also be designing other drawings such as car parks, bus stations, cycle routes etc.

The role:

• Preparation oftechnical drawingsutilising AutoCAD.
• Preliminarydesign of accessand basicjunction design(priority, roundabouts, signalisation)
• Swept Path Analysisusing AutoTrack
• Preparation ofhigh-quality graphicsusingGISpackages and/ or Corel Draw
• Excellentcommunicationskills
• Good levels ofnumeracyandliteracy

What you need to succeed:

• Formal educationin either Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning (HNC/HND/Degree)
• Preferable experience in the field ofdevelopmentfocusedtransport planning
• Excellentcommunication skillswith a high standard ofwork ethic
• Accuracy, attention to detail and ability towork proactivelyand use initiative
