Primary School Teacher – Permanent, full-time from September 2026

The inspection report highlights a welcoming and inclusive primary school environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. This role will teach across Year 1 and Year 5 and also hold responsibility as a qualified SENCO, playing a key role in supporting inclusive practice across the school. The role is ideal for an experienced Primary School Teacher who is passionate about SEND provision and committed to delivering high‑quality teaching across different key stages.

Duties as Primary School Teacher

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons for pupils in Year 1 and Year 5
  • Plan and adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils across different age groups
  • Fulfil SENCO responsibilities, including overseeing SEND provision and supporting staff
  • Coordinate, implement, and review individual education plans and interventions
  • Liaise with teachers, support staff, external professionals, and families
  • Promote inclusive practice and ensure pupils with SEND are effectively supported
  • Monitor pupil progress and use assessment data to inform teaching and intervention
  • Maintain positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to whole‑school development and collaborative working
  • Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times

Ideal Primary School Teacher

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status
  • Holds a recognised SENCO qualification (essential)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Strong understanding of SEND legislation and inclusive practice
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to continuous improvement
