University Arms is a 192‑bedroom design‑led hotel in Cambridge, located at Parker’s Tavern on Regent Street. The hotel houses a high‑end bar where guests can enjoy drinks in a modern brand‑led environment.

What Will You Be Doing

As Head Bartender you will craft exceptional drinks, lead the bar team, manage inventory, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences.

The Duties

• Set the standard for exceptional service and mixology mastery behind the bar.
• Craft cocktails and classic favourites.
• Lead and inspire the bar team, ensuring smooth operations.
• Maintain stock, manage inventory, and keep the bar fully equipped.
• Train, mentor, and develop team members to deliver excellence at every shift.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards.
• Engage with guests, providing recommendations and creating memorable experiences.

What Are We Looking For

• 3+ years of bartender experience in a high‑volume or upscale environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverage trends.
• Experience managing stock, inventory, and bar operations.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with guests confidently.

£12.79 per hour plus £2.60 per hour Tronc. Competitive pay £15.39 per hour.
