Sen Teaching Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant role – full time – SEN School, Edgware – September 2026 start*

We are working with an OUTSTANDING primary SEN school in Edgware (HA8) who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full‑time, long‑term role, supporting pupils with PMLD and complex needs within a highly structured and well‑supported setting.

Location: Edgware, HA8Start Date: SeptemberRole: SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD / Complex Needs)Contract: Full‑time, long‑termHours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 – 3:30pmPay: Up to £130 per day

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with PMLD and complex needs within the classroom
• Assist with daily routines, sensory activities, and structured learning
• Provide support tailored to individual EHCPs
• Work alongside teachers and therapists to support pupil progress
• Support communication through sensory approaches and alternative methods
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required
• Help maintain a calm, safe, and structured learning environment

About You

• Experience working with PMLD and complex needs is essential
• Must have previous experience working within an SEN or specialist school setting
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of severe learning and physical needs
• Calm, patient, and physically resilient
• Able to work effectively in a team within a structured environment
