Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school located in the S62 area of Rotherham. This full-time role begins ASAP and will run until the end of the academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an HLTA who is confident, adaptable, and passionate about supporting teaching and learning across the primary age range.

About the Role

As an HLTA, you will be responsible for delivering PPA cover across all primary year groups, from Nursery up to Year 6. This will include:

• Leading whole-class teaching across various subjects
• Supporting the planning and assessment of lessons
• Maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Providing targeted support to pupils where required
• Collaborating with teachers and school staff to support pupil progress

Skills & Experience Required

We are looking for candidates who have:

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification
• Experience delivering whole-class teaching in a primary setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Confidence teaching across Early Years, KS1, and KS2
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work independently
• A proactive, positive and child-centred approach
