Primary Teacher

Role Summary

A teacher at Witherslack Group will work with children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The role involves supporting pupils’ learning, development and self‑esteem in a well‑resourced, purpose‑built school environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tailored lessons for pupils with autism and SEMH needs.
• Support pupils in learning, developing their abilities and raising their self‑esteem.
• Cowork with in‑house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals to provide holistic support.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
• Participate in individual education and care planning meetings.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience or knowledge of working with pupils with autism, SEMH or other complex learning needs (preferred).
• Strong resilience, dedication and a genuine passion for supporting pupils’ progress.
