Overview

Driver Hire Huddersfield is recruiting experienced van drivers based in West Yorkshire. These roles are temporary or ad‑hoc bookings that assist clients covering holiday and sickness cover. The role involves delivery driver duties and support for local clients across Huddersfield, Brighouse, Meltham, and Holmfirth.

Responsibilities

• Perform checks on the vehicle and load before setting off.
• Ensure the vehicle and cargo safely reach their destination.
• Liaise with customers at the point of delivery.
• Perform loading and unloading duties and demonstrate safe loading techniques.
• Maintain a flexible approach to work and enjoy variety.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence, held at least 2 years.
• Right to work in the UK.
• No more than 6 points on your driving licence for minor traffic offences.

Benefits

• Locally based work.
• Minimum 8 hours per day guaranteed.
• Pay: £12.71 basic, £16.65 overtime, £14.30 nights.
• Wages processed through PAYE.
• Auto-enrollment into a pension through NOW Pensions.
