Axis Electronics, part of the Cicor Group, is expanding across the United Kingdom and seeks a Conformal Coat Technician to apply protective chemical coatings to printed circuit boards, shielding them against environmental damage. The successful candidate will use advanced selective coating machines to support our mission of delivering high technology, high reliability electronics manufacturing services.

Job Summary

Applying protective chemical coatings to printed circuit boards to shield against environmental damage. The individual will be working with latest technology selective coating machines and helping lift the business capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming and operation of coating and curing equipment
• Operate and maintain coating and curing equipment
• Understanding of precise preparation work (masking)
• Inspection work for quality and compliance (visually inspecting coated product using UV torch and UV automated programming solutions)
• Equipment operation – from preventative maintenance to basic troubleshooting alongside strong document control
• Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5S principles

Personal Specification

• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing
• Experience working on conformal coating equipment would be advantageous
• Comfortable using tools such as UV lamps, tweezers, microscopes, and spray guns
• Capable of working in a controlled environment
