Job Description:

Regional Painter and Decorator – £30,353.88 per annum, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Carry out painting and decorating duties to ensure a high standard of decor in accordance with contract and service specifications for multiple care homes within a specified region.
  • Prepare surfaces and surrounding areas by washing walls, repairing holes or removing old paint efficiently and tidily, moving furniture and equipment as necessary, and keeping a tidy work area at all times.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their needs and desired look for a project; calculate the amount of materials and time required, source and purchase appropriate supplies from approved vendors, and provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer, ensuring accurate work records are completed.
  • Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations in accordance with contract and service specifications.
  • Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes within contract and service specifications.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets.
  • Hold a current driving licence.
  • Have recent experience in a similar role.
  • Analyse and diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Work to deadlines and prioritise workloads.
  • Have working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation.
