Role
Fixed term for up to 1 year to cover maternity leave.
As part of the Academic Coaching team, you will manage a caseload of learners aged 16–19, delivering weekly group tutorial sessions and individual 1:1s, agreeing motivational targets, monitoring performance, and encouraging preparation for employment or further/higher education. You will be responsible for the completion and submission of UCAS applications where applicable and for providing references for both higher education and employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Level 3 pupils aged 16–19.
- Deliver weekly group tutorial sessions and individual 1:1s.
- Set motivational targets and monitor learner performance.
- Encourage preparation for employment or further education.
- Complete UCAS applications and provide references.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience working with young people in a school or college.
- Experience delivering sessions to large groups.
- Ability to motivate, stretch and challenge learners.
- Understanding of Level 3 qualifications and progression routes.
- Good team player with strong organisational and communication skills.
