Position Details

Location: Liverpool, L12

Start date: April 2026

Full time/part time: Full time

Minimum rate of pay: Paid to scale

Hours: 8:00 am – 16:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Development & Delivery: Planning and delivering engaging textiles lessons, including a range of topics.
• Practical Instruction: Demonstrating techniques using a range of resources.
• Student Assessment: Setting, marking, and recording student work, and providing constructive feedback.
• Health & Safety: Maintaining a safe classroom environment, managing machinery, and ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
• Monitoring well‑being: Keeping an eye on students’ overall well‑being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
• Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required.

Experience, Training & Qualifications

• Teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Previous experience working with young people in a school setting.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided).

Eligibility Requirements

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references or cover 24 months worked.
