We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our mixed secondary school in Havering. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is currently in the final year of their degree and considering a career in teaching. As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will support students across Key Stage 4, helping them to achieve success in their GCSEs, particularly within your specialist subject area. We are especially interested in candidates with degrees in:
- Maths
- Psychology
- English
- History
- Geography
- Science
The role will involve working closely with class teachers to deliver targeted support, raise attainment, and build student confidence in their learning.
A key aspect of the role is supporting students with special educational needs. You will provide tailored interventions, one‑to‑one support, and small‑group work to ensure all learners can access the curriculum and reach their full potential. The successful candidate will be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
