History Teacher – Secondary School in Bartley Green

Flourish Education is currently recruiting a passionate History Teacher for a long-term opportunity at this supportive Secondary School in Bartley Green, starting in May 2026 and continuing until the end of the academic year. The role is available on both a full‑time and part-time basis and will involve teaching History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The successful History Teacher will deliver engaging lessons, support student achievement and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Job Role

  • Deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress
  • Maintain positive classroom behaviour and follow school policies
  • Differentiated learning to meet the needs of all students
  • Support departmental planning and wider school activities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

Required Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) specialising in History
  • Experience teaching History within a UK Secondary School setting
  • Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons independently
  • A positive and recent employment reference
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply
