BSL Teaching Assistant Greenwich Full Time – September 2026 (Primary School)

TLTP are currently working with a Greenwich based primary school, who are looking to recruit a BSL TA to work with deaf students. This will be a long‑term position with a possibility of a permanent contract at the end of the assignment.

Role Overview

The school is based in the Greenwich borough and provides education to children from the ages of 3-11. This school hosts a positive and work driven environment that flows throughout the staffing team and students alike. This positive atmosphere offers children a more engaging and positive outlook on education, promoting learning of the highest standard.

The school is roughly a 10‑minute walk from the nearest station, as well as offering on‑site parking for drivers. The school are looking for an experienced, adaptive, and positive BSL Teaching Assistant that can assist and communicate in the learning of students, as well as bonding with children to create healthy relationships to assist children in the process of learning.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and communicate in the learning of deaf students.
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with pupils to support learning.
  • Engage children in classroom activities.

Qualifications

  • BSL level 1 qualification or higher.
  • Previous experience working with deaf students or in a teaching assistant role.
  • Ability to engage children and support their learning.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
