Job Title: Nursery Apprentice
Location: Highbury Campus, Portsmouth
Salary: £15,434.33 – £16,379.68 Full Time Equivalent per annum
Hours of work: 37 Hours per week, Part-Time, 52 Weeks per year, Apprenticeship/Fixed Term

About the role
The Nursery Apprentice will support the Nursery deputies and Nursery practitioners in ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the Nursery. This role involves providing care and support for all children attending the Nursery.
Key Responsibilities
- To participate and assist in children’s activities including planning and observations.
- To assist the Nursery Practitioners in delivering stimulating activities appropriate to ages and stages of the children and maintain children’s records.
- To assist in maintaining a clean, healthy and safe environment for the children.
- To actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
- Assist in supervising children to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- To attend training as necessary and carry out any other duties reasonably required by the Nursery manager.
What we need from you
- Previous experience working with children or in childcare settings is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are important.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
