Social Sciences Teacher – Humanities, Psychology, Sociology & More

Permanent, full‑time position at an outstanding secondary school in Southwark, starting September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach KS3–5 levels in Social Sciences subjects, including History/Geography, Health & Social Care, Religion Education, Citizenship, PSHE, Sociology and Psychology.
• Plan, deliver and assess lessons to meet the national curriculum and inspection standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to curriculum development and student support.
• Exceed the Teaching Standards at a good or outstanding level.

Qualifications & Experience

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or in the process of obtaining.
• Strong academic background (degree, A levels and GCSEs).
• Meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a good or outstanding level.
• Experience teaching, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), with potential to undertake a Teaching Leadership Role (TLR) – such as KS4/5 coordination or pastoral responsibilities.
