Sales Assistant – Halifax – Plumb Centre

We are Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, a leading specialist trade merchant across the UK and Ireland.

Salary: £26,695 per annum plus bonus. Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
• Handle customer enquiries via phone and email with a positive, proactive attitude, building strong customer relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Carry out general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking stock to be booked in on our system and putting away stock in the warehouse.
• Maintain merchandising displays to a high standard in the branch.

Working Hours

Full‑time, permanent role – Monday to Friday between 07:30am and 05:00pm and Saturday on a rota basis 08:00am to 12:00pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Plumbing & Heating Industry is essential.
• Proven experience in a face‑to‑face sales/customer service position.
• Great communication skills and a customer‑first approach.
• Team player and willing to support in all areas of the branch.
• Willingness to learn with an enthusiastic approach.
• Driving licence preferable as you will be required to cover the regular driver when he is out of the business.
