About the Role
A Level 3 Learning Support Assistant at Lewis Street Primary School plays a key role in supporting our youngest learners to feel safe, valued, and ready to explore. Working closely with the Early Years team, you will help deliver engaging, play‑based learning that sparks curiosity and builds confidence. You will support individuals and small groups, including children with SEND, while promoting positive behaviour and strong relationships. About you
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who holds a Level 3 Teaching and Learning qualification relevant for Early Years (or equivalent) to join our team. You will bring a strong understanding of the EYFS and Year 1 curriculum, including programmes such as Read Write Inc Phonics, alongside knowledge of SEND and positive behaviour approaches. You will plan and adapt engaging learning for all pupils, contribute to whole‑class teaching, and help foster an inspiring school culture. A team player who values experiential learning, you will model our core values of Excellence, Respect, Challenge, and Self‑Belief while continually reflecting and developing your practice.
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to a fully enhanced DBS check.
