Children’s Complex Care Assistant

Base Pay Range

£14.75‑£15.25 per hour, plus pension and holiday pay – rolled‑up pay rate of £17.03‑£17.60.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, person‑centred support to individuals with complex health needs (spinal injuries, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders).
• Perform clinical tasks including manual cough assist, digital bowel stimulation, postural and spinal support, PEG care, tracheostomy care, continence management, medication administration, mobility support, meal preparation and household tasks.
• Promote independence and provide a real sense of joy to those you support.
• Receive comprehensive training and competency sign‑off from in‑house Registered Nurses.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 6 months of hands‑on care experience in a UK care setting.
• Experience with tracheostomy care is ideal but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Minimum age 18; Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.
• Ability to work unsupervised with vulnerable individuals and flexible hours, including evenings and nights.
