Hi, I am a 15 year old boy and I have Down syndrome. I have a lovely family but I would like to do some of my activities with a personal care assistant and build up some independence skills. I enjoy many activities, swimming, horse riding, football, cricket, dancing, especially bowling, and I love making people laugh. I can use some words, sometimes my speech isn’t always clear but I do understand lots and get by just fine. I had heart surgery as a tiny baby and do have some medical issues but none pose a problem on a day to day basis. I need help to keep me safe as I don’t have any awareness of danger. I am a happy and easy going boy but need someone calm and patient who I can have fun with.
