Warehouse Operative (Temporary)
Location: Horsham (due to the location access to your own transport is required).
Pay: £13.20 per hour + 22% shift allowance = £16.10 per hour.
Hours: Monday to Friday | 14:00 – 22:15.
Start date: Immediate start | 6-month assignment.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy and well-established operations team based in Horsham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-quality environment, handling products across ambient, chilled and frozen areas.
This is a temporary, full-time role (38.75 hours per week) with the potential for overtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and packing orders to meet targets
- Receiving deliveries and storing goods correctly
- Using inventory systems to log stock
- Following production orders and completing packaging tasks
- Completing GMP paperwork accurately and on time
- Carrying out stock checks, cycle counts and waste management
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Reporting any health & safety or quality concerns
- Working collaboratively as part of a team
What We’re Looking For
- Good attention to detail
- IT literate
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude
- GCSE-level Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Comfortable working in ambient, chilled and frozen (-20°C) environments
Desirable
- Experience in a warehouse, GMP, or regulated environment
