We are currently looking for a Yard Operative to join our team at our Peterlee Operation Centre SR8 2JQ. You’ll be working from Monday to Friday, with no bank holiday working, so you’ll benefit from a great work-life balance and have more time to yourself.
Our yard Operatives are a dedicated team that are crucial to our operation, who love working outside in all weathers and have a passion for vehicles and working with cars. They consistently and promptly respond to customer requests, complete service orders to deadlines, and ensure that vehicles are stored and maintained in line with customer and company standards. They also operate a handheld device to take images of vehicles.
Salary: £27,976 per annum.
Essential Skills
- Full driving licence
- Proven experience in using plant, forklift loaders or shovels
- Excellent customer service
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident in the use of handheld devices, with experience in basic IT applications
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Happy to work outside, in all weather conditions
Desirable Skills
- Automotive experience would be an advantage
