Purpose of Role
We are currently recruiting for a Postroom Operative to join a busy and fast-paced postroom operation based within the Curry’s Newark distribution campus.
Job Description
This opportunity has become available due to the migration of services from a London office which is closing at the end of July, creating an excellent opportunity for someone to join an established operation and make the role their own. This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone with previous postroom, goods in/goods out, warehouse, logistics, or administration experience. Equally, we are happy to consider candidates with the right attitude, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Scanning and processing incoming and outgoing corporate mail
- Logging items accurately using handheld QR scanners and internal systems/apps
- Delivering post and parcels across the Newark distribution campus
- Managing your own workstation and workload efficiently
- Supporting internal tracking and data entry processes
- Ensuring accurate record keeping and excellent attention to detail at all times
- Working safely and professionally within a large operational environment
Essential Qualifications/Skills
- Previous experience within a postroom, warehouse, logistics, goods in/out, or administrative environment
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Comfortable using scanners, apps, and basic computer systems
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team
