Skilled Warehouse Operative Lates

About the Role

The Best Connection are seeking a Skilled Warehouse Operative to work for our client based in Central Southampton.

Duties

• Handling and moving steel stock safely within the warehouse
• Operating machinery including forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and bandsaws
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Picking and preparing orders accurately
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a steel or heavy‑duty warehouse environment (preferred)
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Experience operating overhead cranes and bandsaws (advantageous)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Hours and Pay

Working hours are 1600 to 0030, Monday to Friday.

Pay rate of £14.45 per hour, weekly pay.

Additional Information

This is an ongoing role, with the potential to go permanent following a successful trial period.
