Stores Operative

Job Title: Stores Operative. Location: Dungannon, N. Ireland. Duration: Temp to perm or perm. Shifts: Days Monday – Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm and Friday 7:30am-1:30pm. Pay Rate: DOE.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative to join a busy engineering environment. This is a key role within the supply chain and production support function, ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, and issued to meet manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and relevant job documentation
• Inspect incoming goods against drawings and purchase specifications
• Process goods inwards and outwards accurately using company systems
• Store received materials in the correct designated locations
• Pick and prepare components for production kitting requirements
• Complete full job kits in line with production schedules
• Identify and report any shortages or discrepancies
• Use ERP systems to record deliveries, stock movements, and kitting activity
• Carry out regular stock checks, including monthly and year-end counts
• Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
• Support general stores operations as required
• Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested by management

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within a busy stores or warehouse environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Sage or similar systems

Desirable Experience

• Experience using pallet trucks and/or forklift equipment
• Background in an engineering or manufacturing environment
