Gully/Drainage Operative Position

Vector is currently seeking Gully/Drainage Operatives to join our client, a fast‑growing drainage contractor, at their depot near Cheshunt. This role will begin on a temporary basis with a view to permanent employment.

Job Description

In this role, you will work in tandem with an HGV Driver as part of a two‑person team. Your primary responsibility will be operating a vacuum hose and jetting equipment to clear roadside drains, ensuring they remain unblocked. This job is physically demanding due to the frequent lifting of drain covers.

Requirements

• Previous experience within drainage or highways is desirable but not essential.
• Access to personal transportation, as the depot is not easily reachable via public transit.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday – 50 hours per week
• Day and night shifts available
• Days: 06:00 – 16:00
• Nights: 20:00 – 06:00

Pay

• Days: £13.00 per hour (PAYE)
• Nights: £16.25 per hour (PAYE)
