Department: Nursery Housekeeper

Employment Type: Part Time

Location: Monkey Puzzle Horsham

Compensation: £13.50 per hour

Shifts: 5pm – 7pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Team working within a family‑feel nursery to promote happiness for staff and children
• Ensuring the safety and welfare of children through safe safeguarding practices
• Implementing the EYFS with a good understanding of child development
• Supporting all nursery staff to deliver outstanding childcare
• Strong communication with adults and children
• Reporting concerns to a senior team member or relevant services
• Partnering with parents and other partners to support children’s growth
• Maintaining a positive attitude with all nursery stakeholders
• Inspiring creativity in children and staff
• Keeping the nursery environment clean and tidy, including hygiene of bathrooms, nappy‑change areas and laundry care
• Assisting broader team tasks such as mealtimes when required
• Storing and using products safely and suitably within the nursery
• Upholding health and safety requirements at all times

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essentials:

• Experience in a cleaning role with a focus on hygiene
• Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements
• Good command of English for clear communication with children and staff
