We’re looking for a reliable, calm and proactive Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in Trowbridge (BA14). You will support three gentlemen aged 30s‑60s with mild learning disabilities and epilepsy. This is a weekend‑only waking night role, where your support plays a vital part in ensuring people feel safe, comfortable and reassured throughout the night.

Who the gentlemen are

  • They are sociable and active and enjoy getting out into the community and socialising.
  • They like visiting friends and exploring new places.
  • They relax with food, TV and shared downtime.
  • They have fun, laugh and build strong relationships with staff.

Key responsibilities (Waking Nights)

  • Remain awake and alert throughout the shift, providing essential overnight support.
  • Carry out regular safety and wellbeing checks.
  • Support personal care needs when required.
  • Administer medication in line with training.
  • Provide reassurance and maintain a calm environment.
  • Respond to any needs or changes overnight.
  • Complete accurate records and handovers for day staff.

Shift patterns

  • Saturday: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Sunday: 10:00 pm – 7:00 am
