Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, passionate and organised Kitchen Assistant to join Agincare at Gorseway Nursing Home (Hayling Island). The role involves supporting the chef to prepare balanced meals, maintaining high hygiene standards and working as a team player. The position is full‑time (40 hours per week, including alternative weekends) and based in our Gorseway Nursing Home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the chef to create healthy and balanced meals and snacks, understanding dietary requirements and allergens.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen area, maintaining hygiene and COSHH compliance.
- Work as a team player, but also able to work independently when required, managing time effectively.
- Offer support, communication and engagement with residents.
Benefits & Pay
- £12.72 per hour

Requirements
- At least 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week, including alternative weekends.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and COSHH.
- Self‑motivated, caring and enthusiastic with empathy for residents’ needs.
