Are you organised, proactive and interested in supporting research that makes a real difference to patient care and population health? BNSSG Integrated Care Board is looking for a Research Delivery Support to join our supportive and collaborative Research Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with researchers, clinicians, universities and health and care organisations across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire to support the delivery of high‑quality research.
You will play an important role in supporting research governance processes, helping researchers navigate Health Research Authority (HRA) approvals and NHS assurance requirements, and ensuring studies are managed efficiently and safely across our system.
This role would suit someone with strong administrative and communication skills who enjoys working with a wide range of stakeholders and managing multiple priorities.
Main duties of the job
- Support researchers with research governance and approval processes
- Provide advice and guidance on HRA approval and NHS assurance requirements
- Maintain research databases and monitoring systems
- Organise meetings, events and documentation including agendas and minutes
- Work closely with NHS organisations, universities and regional research networks
- Contribute to reports, guidance documents and standard operating procedures
- Support communication and knowledge sharing across the research community
- Assist with training and induction activities within the team
You will work closely with the Research Delivery Officer and wider Research Team to help ensure research is delivered effectively across the BNSSG system.
Qualifications
- Experience of administrative systems and office processes
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to use everyday IT systems, databases and spreadsheets confidently
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Interest in research, healthcare or governance processes
