Customers are at the heart of everything we do. This role requires a commitment to delivering great customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay: starting at £13.28 an hour, increasing to £14.55 within the M25. Minimum guaranteed hours: 16 hours per week; flexible to as low as 12 hours for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Help to serve shoppers better every day.
  • Learn new things and be part of a diverse team where everyone is welcome.
  • Know customers and serve them with passion and pride; give great natural service.
  • Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
  • Apply store training to work safely, effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
  • Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a great inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand store performance, what you play and what we need to drive service and sales, reduce waste and shrink and deliver profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow our policies.
  • Accept deliveries into the store when required.
  • Greet customers with a smile and serve them with pride.
  • Build rapport with customers so they leave with a great shopping trip.
  • Take initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.
  • Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
  • Be punctual, well presented and ready to be a brand ambassador.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age over 18 required.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work across the store, including service, picking, replenishment and delivery areas.
  • Willingness to learn and apply store policies and procedures.
  • Flexible to work required hours, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
