You will edit footage from Hackney History Festival talks into files suitable for uploading to our YouTube Channel so they can reach a wider audience.

What difference will you make?

It will enable people to see high quality videos of our amazing talks, and preserve them for future historians.

Responsibilities and Minimum Requirements

  • Handle 4K footage.
  • Sync footage from two cameras (2 tracks video, 4 tracks sound) and cut from one video track to the other.
  • Export audio and compress or format as MP3 to upload to Enhance Speech by Adobe for clean sound, then download, re-import, and sync—delete unclean sound afterward. (https://podcast.adobe.com/en/enhance)
  • Stabilise shaky shots or cover them up with audience cutaways.
  • Reframe to ensure speaker is in the right place.
  • Remove disturbances and cover jump cuts with audience cutaways or speaker listening shots.
  • Cover all camera movement with cutaways of audience and ensure audience is correctly framed when speaking.
  • Add opening title which we’ll supply.
  • Add end credits which we’ll supply.
  • Import and add JPEGs or PNGs from slides at appropriate moments in a presentation.
  • Colour correct and brighten under‑exposed footage.
  • Export and compress to MP4 and WeTransfer.
