Retail Volunteer (Streatham, London SW16 1PR)
We are looking for friendly and reliable individuals aged 18 or older to volunteer in our Streatham charity shop. This role requires no prior experience; full training will be provided.
Who we are looking for
Please note: This role is only suitable for applicants aged 18 and over. We seek people who enjoy working with others, are willing to learn, and want to make a positive impact in their community.
You may be interested in gaining work experience, meeting new people, or staying active in your local area.
What you will be doing
- Undertaking shop related tasks agreed with the Manager, for example:
- Selecting, sorting, and pricing donated stock.
- Chatting with customers and providing great service at the till.
- Researching valuable and vintage stock.
- Visual merchandising: creating eye‑catching window and in‑store displays.
- Photographing and listing items for the online shop.
- This role may include occasionally lifting boxes. We prioritise a safe working environment and provide comprehensive health and safety training to all volunteers.
The skills you need
- Reliability and punctuality for your volunteering sessions.
- Full training and support are provided; no prior experience is required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with others.
