Salary

Main Scale 1‑6, £32,916 to £45,352

Hours

KS1 post (2 days, Permanent) EYFS post (3 days, Maternity Cover starting after October half-term)

Our staff, the children, and governors of this happy and successful First School wish to appoint an experienced class teacher from September. We have a committed team of teaching and non‑teaching staff and are keen to recruit someone with a love of life and learning and a great sense of humour! We are looking for hard‑working practitioners who are passionate about achieving good outcomes for all our children. The successful applicant will be resilient and a great team player. Responsibilities

  • Teach a class of mixed Year 1 and Year 2 children and have experience in teaching Reception
  • Adaptable to teach in a class of mixed pre‑school and Reception children
  • Implement and deliver an appropriately balanced, broad, relevant and differentiated KS1 curriculum including EYFS
  • Passionate about achieving good outcomes for all our children
  • Use observation, assessment and feedback effectively to inform next steps and ensure strong progress for all pupils
  • Have experience of using the Little Wandle phonics scheme
  • Have excellent communication skills, be organised with a professional approach and able to work as part of a hard‑working team
  • Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and strategic priorities for school improvement in line with the School Development Plan
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, colleagues and external agencies
  • Be an integral part of the development of the school, upholding our values and motto “Shaping Bright Futures Together”
  • Maintain a high‑quality, stimulating and enabling learning environment to promote learning across KS1, working closely with job‑share partner and the EYFS team
  • Have a flexible approach to challenge and change
